Please pray for our family today

Please pray for our son and his wife and baby.

I just received word that our son’s wife, who is 27-weeks pregnant, has gone to the hospital with spotting. This, as most of you probably know, indicates that the baby is in some distress.

Mom and baby are doing okay for now, but we have a specific prayer request that I’d like you all to consider praying on our behalf: It is that mom and baby are able to hang onto one another for at least another 10 weeks. This will help assure the baby’s chances of making it and being healthy.

By way of just a bit of background, this is the 3rd pregnancy for them. Their first baby miscarried. Their second child was born at 22 weeks and only survived for a few hours. I wrote here about the wonderful miracle that happened even in the midst of that tragedy.

Thank you so very much (in advance, for I know you will all do what you can to help) for your prayers.

  1. Praying with all my heart ❤

    1. Thank you so much, Angie. She’s hanging in there. In the hospital being monitored, tested, and being well cared for. We’re all optimistic and appreciate so much your prayers for her and all of us.

      Many blessings,

      Mary

      1. Thank you for the update, Mary Adrienne ❤ My prayers continue 🙂

  2. I want to say that miracles do happen (I myself born at 22-24wks) but I don’t know if that’s any hope or consolation.

Prayers are with you and your family. May God in love, sustain you all during this difficult time.

    1. Thank you so much. You were a miracle. She has good medical care and is doing better and the Lord is very good, so we’re optimistic even as we continue to pray for her strength and the baby’s. Thank you for letting me know of your prayers. Have a blessed day. Mary

      1. We are all miracles. My mum had a stillbirth before me. Everything happens for a reason… I know it’s cliché and not always the most helpful of words, but all we can do is give to God our every breath, and remember like Julian of Norwich: all will be well, all will be well.

  3. Thank you. Our daughter-in-law’s first pregnancy ended with a miscarriage, which was followed last year by a 23-week delivery. Their little Olivia only lived 3 hours.

I’ve often wondered what it would be like to be the child finally born to parents so eager and so faithful and into a family who has come to love and trust in the Lord even more fully throughout these trials.

Thankfully, I don’t think our Lord tells us that it’s possible to love a child too much, because if one could predict the burdens to be carried by this child, they would have to include being loved immeasurably by her family (we know she will be a girl).

Daughter goes home from hospital today with positive tests and every sign of continuing this pregnancy to term. She’s been told to rest at home for the next week.

We are asking that everyone continue to keep her in your prayers and that mom and baby hang tough together for at least another 10 weeks.

Thanks so much again for your prayers Geralyn and your comforting words.

    Blessings on your day today,

    Mary Adrienne

  4. Dear Lord,

Please bless this family with Your love, healing, and peace. We ask that mom and baby will be safe in Your hands. Hold the entire family tightly in Your arms.

    Amen

Mary, this is a topic close to my heart. Our three children were born after I had experienced 12 years of infertility and a couple of miscarriages. I pray that this will be a happy ending with a little one to hold at the end of it. xo ~ Wendy

    1. Oh, thank you so much, Wendy. I can feel His loving embrace as I write and I feel so blessed to have found you and this virtual community of believers that He is forming with our willing spirits.

Mom has been resting at home all this week and goes today for another check. We’re all looking forward to hearing what her new tests show and we continue to keep them in our prayers.

Thank you, too, for your perseverance with motherhood. Good parents bless our world with the gifts their wonderful children.

Many blessings on your day, Wendy…have I said lately how very much I like your photography and poetry…they deserve daily accolades!

      Mary
