Who Am I

“Tell me who am I?”

Who are you, my daughter?
You are many things …

And yet, nothing at all,
until you give yourself away
to each of these roles
to which I have called you:

You are your parent’s daughter.
Your sister’s sister.
You are friend to a friend.
Wife to your husband.
Mother to your children.

You are a protector of small things.
A singer of holy prayers.
A lover of sweet memories.
A catcher of divine words.
And, if you are willing,

You may be My hands and My voice,
My heart offered to you,
For you to adore, then to give away.

At Your very best, my daughter,
You are a My precious child,
A member of My Beloved Bride.
