Watch my children, Lord
When they’re away.
Watch over them and protect them
Throughout the day.
Hold them close, Lord,
Keep them from Your wrath
Shield them from all harm
Remove evil from their path.
Lift them up, Lord,
If they fall away from you
But be gentle in Your lessons
Let them know You’re never through.
Remind them that You’re always there
No matter where or how far they go
No matter how deep their troubles lay
Let them always know
Let them know Your love
Has no beginning and no end
Help them know, when I’m not there
That they need no other friend.
